I drill with a buffing attatchment wouldn't really do a great job because since the pipes are stationary and the drill isn't, its hard to follow the "grain" of the metal. But if you have to and have no other choice, here is what you can do. Get a stiched buffing wheel Then get a buffing compound bar set. Use the Emery cake ( Black) to take off pitting and for sharp cutting. ( be gental with this.) Then red rouge to buff it to a higher luster. Then use the White rouge bar to place a final touch to it. ( The white contains diamond compound, so be gental with it too. The black contains aluminum oxide and glass which promots sharp cutting and cleaning. Hope this helps. Also while doing it try to be in a well lit room so you can the which direction you need to buff out.
